Gardner & Scardifield Grinstead
Lane Lancing |
John
Dawkins says:
I'm an 'Old Fogey' now and I fondly recall the days when the 'S' word
was in general use by ALL shops; now alas it is no longer the case with
notable exceptions in Lancing. What is the 'S' word? SERVICE! Who is
the exception? Gardiner & Scardifield. Old world Service is the main
reason we shop there. Nothing is too much trouble for their customers
whether they are buying 15 ltrs of paint or a dozen nails.
They have a very knowledgeable staff who will give you free help and
advice. I have no connection with this firm except as a customer. In
fact although they have some real bargains a couple of times I have
found some items cheaper elsewhere but I STILL prefer to buy it from
them. That is the genuine customer loyalty the engender. I cannot
recommend them highly enough. I believe they offer free delivery in
Lancing as well if required |

Heather
Wilson says:
It is a wonderful business which tries to cover all areas and does it
well. The staff are very friendly and helpful and people who are not
very experienced in DIY feel comfortable going in there as they will
receive sensible advice without being mocked! When Eakins closed I
wondered if the same standard would continue but it has improved and the
range has grown. It is useful not having to buy huge packs of things
but the advice is the most important thing for me. I am also delighted
that so many things are available in the village through them. |
