"Will any fellow Patriots join me in really putting Lancing and environs on the map by flying our national flag and especially our English flag next April 23rd?  My Campaign is for placing the flag in every public building; our schools, our courtrooms, our council offices, our libraries.  My long term goal is to make April 23 a public holiday in addition or replacing May Day which is inappropriate in my opinion"

hello, North Lancing Website

I'm not really up to speed with computers so please bear with me

Why is there such a problem about flying a St George Cross or a Union Flag in N Lancing?  I seem to remember that one of our residents (now departed to pastures new) was in the habit of displaying the flag of the US Confederate States, and their attitude on various matters was, if my memory serves me, less than politically correct in many aspects.

I like the comments page, but why are there such large gaps between new entries?  Are we all dormant?

I hope this offering is OK

Flag bearing originated on the battlefield as an aid to military coordination.

If you have allegiance to a different flag it could be a red rag to a bull!

It's not really racist, there must be many cases where races have united under one flag to fight a common enemy.

In reply to your suggestion of flying the national flag on April 23rd in 2007, I couldn't agree more. You only have to look at the example set by Americans in their public buildings who fly their flag with pride *every* day, not just public holidays. It seems that the PC brigade in this country have joined the "anti-national pride" bandwagon branding the display of our very own flag as racist. Racist!!!!!, good grief what are these people on??? Why can we not fly our flag with pride without being branded racist? There are may councils in this country who have even insisted that individuals do not fly the flag at home because it may offend others. What? Give me strength. It is a sad, sad time when this is the mentality of some.
