"Just wondered if any of your visitors
know anything about two Pea hens I keep seeing
roaming around Mill Road. I think they are Pea hens
anyway. One is a grey colour and the other is pure
white. They are always together but you know I am
worried that they may be injured or killed. Could we
send a plea to the owners and ask them to keep them
in so they are safe. Traffic in Mill Road does tend
to be fast and I would hate to see anything happen
to them. Has anyone else spotted these two?" |

They are male and female [white] and belong to Mrs.
J .White of Eldertree Cottage Mill Rd. They roam at
will and can fly. |

"Yes, I have seen these two birds on a regular basis,
at one time they were both attacking a very shiny
car that was parked in Mill Road, I should imagine
that the owner was devastated when they saw the
dents.
I thought these birds were Guinea Fowl, I would be
interested to learn exactly what they are.
As a point of interest my dog is terrified of them
and cannot get away from quick enough" |

"well I like them - I like the
noise they make less, but it's not for long and I enjoy my
occasional glimpses of this "semi-wildlife". hopefully I will
be able to enjoy them for a while (until Reynard comes to visit)
and may even consider getting some myself" |
