Save our local hospitals march and meeting on August 2nd 2006

HOME
They came in large numbers, some say it was 5,000 to deliver a very clear message "Save our Hospitals"

Our local health authority is under pressure to make cuts as they have overspent this year.

There are real fears, I have told by many people about them, that whole departments at both Worthing and Southlands Hospitals will be run down or closed.

One such closure might be the Accident and Emergency facilities at Worthing Hospital. That would mean longer journeys for those who are ill or hurt to get treatment. That must put lives at risk.

The march and meeting was organised by the local pressure group KWASH  click here to go to their website

The photos on the website are compressed from the originals - if anyone wants the actual shots I took please get in touch with me
