comments for 24/11/06 There was a beautiful sparrow hawk landed on the greenhouse roof and posed for several minutes. Has visited before
comments for 15/10/06  Black and White spotted woodpecker also in our garden
comments for 10/02/07  I saw a female black cap in the garden this morning around 9 o'clock. She was busy in the hedge but there was no sign of the male.    There was also a small flock ( about 6 in number ) of long tailed tits in the trees on the back garden bank. Although I haven't seen them, there has been a considerable amount of woodpecker noise ( ? green / spotted ) coming from the taller trees bordering the west side of the Lancing Manor allotments
comments for 22/12/07 There were 2 redwings in the garden this morning eating the berries from the tree catoneasta. Very busy and stayed for quite some while.
comments for 29/12/07 Redwing - small flock  Blackcap - male and female
comments for 05/01/08  Still have a pair of Black Caps visiting regularly. Green Woodpecker probing lawn for a good hour on New Years morning. Heron landed briefly in the top of one of the trees until rudely ousted by a pair of rooks.
