Back in July, I received an email from North Lancing resident Peter wondering if people would like to take a look at the items from Lancing Roman Temple stored at Worthing museum. Peter had been in contact with Diana, manager at the museum and went on to arrange two visits for us, one on August 4th and the other on August 12th. Fifteen people attended and had a most interesting time. Thanks Peter and Diana!

The August 4th visit focused on the Roman Temple and we were able to see coins, pottery and documents relating to it. Diana then for the 12th August visit "went the extra mile" and brought out all known Roman artefacts relating to Sompting at the museum. These were from sites at Halewick Farm, Loose Lane and the Marquis of Granby.

A big "thank you" to all concerned!
