Chairperson Andy Brook sets out The North Lancing  Community Association aims

What a lovely place we live in! The Downs, wildlife, Post Office, school, pub, church and local shops. Also, access to nearby supermarkets, health care, buses and trains. Amongst locals, I detect a real pride in North Lancing. The North Lancing Community Association aims to build on this by promoting the Village, providing a forum for residents views and working to create “community spirit”.

It is not our aim to challenge existing groups that care about the area such as the Action for Youth initiative, Friends of Lancing Ring or Lancing and Sompting Residents Association. Rather, we plan to offer a forum that brings together residents, the Local Authority and Voluntary Groups so we can work together to the benefit of all. We are non-party political and non-sectarian.

The North Lancing Community Association plan to have four "business" meetings per year each with a guest speaker and several social events to enjoy. Local issues will be discussed. I want this to become a regular forum to build on our community spirit and take an active part in decisions that affect North Lancing residents.

The Association will have a constitution. which will be formally adopted at our first A.G.M. in November 2007. I really look forward to meeting with as many as you as possible at future meetings and working with you for the benefit of all who live in this beautiful part of Sussex.
