Fireworks and the ever expanding "November the 5th"

I am concerned with the ever expanding "November the 5th".

There is no doubt that fireworks, whilst bringing pleasure to a part of the community, can be a great disturbance to others.

I am no killjoy but I do feel that this event is spreading far too many days either side of the original date.

I do not have pets but I can understand that some owners can be very upset.

Obviously, with no legislation to control this, other than the "after 2300" ban, it is not very clear how one can control irresponsible acts.

I would love to hear if anyone has any ideas on this matter and I feel that the NLCA is a wonderful forum for matters like this to be discussed.
