The North Lancing Community Association website

The North Lancing Community Association was founded in October 2006 to "promote the village, to act as a forum for residents views and to work towards creating community spirit"
Didn't they do well!
the NLCA Strawberry Tea on Sunday 18th July 2010 raises £100.00 for the Breast Cancer Care Strawberry Tea Appeal. This event (organised by the members, not the committee) was a great success and was held on a lovely sunny afternoon. The raising of the £100.00 is a wonderful achievement so it is "well done" to those who helped to organise the day -
Pam and Andy Richardson   Lynne Austin and Eric    Liz and Frank Spring    Elizabeth Charles
June White  Shirley Smith   Irene Grainger   Adrienne Stevenson

below are some images of the event

Use this bus or lose this bus - Bob writes

"The 106 Compass Bus (Worthing - Henfield) is displaying notices inside with the words, "USE IT OR LOSE IT" which seems to me a coded warning about its continued viability. It now provides the much needed Link (FREE to PENSIONERS) between the top of the Hill at North Lancing, North Road Shops, Lancing Railway Station and Lancing Sea Front. This has been hard earned and would be a tragic loss.
I have heard it said that the reason North Lancing people don't use the bus is that they are too posh and most have chauffeur driven Rolls Royces. This is so unfair and untrue because many of them have to make do with Daimlers and Mercedes. Joking aside, please use the buses for shopping, health centre, library, when you are likely to drink, want to sunbathe on the beach or just fancy a pleasant drive. They are actually  quite wholesome, you help preserve our environment and if you have forgotten (or never knew) you just have to stand by a bus stop at the times given on the post and then put your hand out.  Simples!!! "

Wildlife Watch – North Lancing Style please complete the report form on a regular basis.  if enough people take part we will begin to create an archive that future generations of villagers will be able to look back to and learn about the wild creatures of the area at this time take part

Got an idea for an event? Got a suggestion about the future of the NLCA? Do you have some constructive criticism about the NLCA and its organisation? Then please make use of the Suggestions Box which is available to members at Fircroft News in Manor Road
