Butterfly Walk Saturday, July 11th  at 11 am from Milldene Corner Leader Bert Laker  Last year was memorable in many ways. First, perfect weather with sunshine and light winds. Next, on the eastern edge of Lancing Clump we saw a large number of pristine and emerging Commas — a marvellous sight. This year we go up through McIntyre’s Field, past the Chalk Pit and then on and through Lancing Ring Nature Reserve. A butterfly spotter’s guide will be provided plus an opportunity for a cooling drink and/or lunch in The Potter for those who wish!

Open Top Bus Tour to Stanmer Park Sunday, July 19th at 12 noon from opposite The Potter

Tickets: £7 for adults. £3.50 for children available from the Social Secretary on 01903 755522 or Fircroft News. Stanmer Park is absolutely the perfect place for picnics, walking or simply relaxing. There is a cafe at the Park. Our return ride features the ever popular ride through central Brighton and along the coast road back to North Lancing by about 5 o’clock.
