Adur Bath Tub race has been going on for well over thirty years. A charity event it raises large amounts of funds for Lancing, Sompting, Shoreham by Sea and nearby charities. The race takes place on the River Adur in August each year from Beeding Bridge to the wharf at Adur Recreation Ground

The weather might have been kinder, particularly early on as it was very windy and damp... but the intrepid competitors and supporters enjoyed very minute ......

With money collected on the day the organisers are optimistic that the total collected since the modern Tub Races began in 1971 would be over £250,000. Fantastic ..
