Well Christmas is nearly here and if it is your first time of
having a pup here are a few tips to help you get through it. Make sure
that the pup gets plenty of rest, somewhere quiet out of the way of
happy children and noisy crackers. Put the pup somewhere safe if you go
out and leave the tree unattended. Also be sure that the pup can’t get
to human chocolate. You can give your pup a small Christmas dinner but
be careful of too many sprouts.

This can also apply to an older dog. Older dogs also like some peace and
quiet especially if they are not used to extra bodies in the house.
Make a note of the number of your emergency vet just in case you
need them.
Be sure to give your dog a little extra time out on a walk so that
they can settle when you get back and start to think of cooking. The
hustle and bustle may make you forget to keep an eye out for that little
puddle that might happen.
If your pup/dog is given a new toy be sure that it is near enough
indestructible and that the squeak doesn’t get lost? Try to keep an eye
on them if they are chewers. Most things that are eaten by canines do
end up coming out, one way or the other, but if after maybe a day it
hasn’t appeared then you may have to seek veterinary advice.
Enjoy your time with your pups at this festive time of year and
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
